Install into the game folder
Choose the client location. The launcher can move itself into place and offers to create a desktop shortcut.
SLOWWRATH LAUNCHER · 2.9.6
Install, repair and update the WotLK Latest client from one place. The launcher verifies every managed file and keeps Play locked until the selected build is ready.
CURRENT CLIENT · 2026.08.31.1
The launcher can reuse a compatible client folder or prepare a clean installation. Interrupted downloads resume, changed files are repaired individually and personal account data remains local. Windows is stable; macOS is available as a separate compatibility beta.
Choose the client location. The launcher can move itself into place and offers to create a desktop shortcut.
The progress percentage covers downloads and integrity checks. UPDATE starts required work; WAIT is a locked state while files are being prepared.
Supported builds stage and verify their own replacement, then require a launcher restart. The game cannot start from that update state.
PLAY becomes available after the client, managed addons and selected visual packs match the signed manifest.
BUILT IN
The launcher owns only the files published by SlowWrath. Player settings and unrelated addons remain outside the managed update set.
Managed downloads are accepted only when their exact size and SHA-256 match the current signed release.
Damaged or incomplete files are replaced individually instead of forcing another full client download.
Supported launchers update themselves safely. Unsupported legacy builds block Play and ask for a fresh launcher download.
Select packs separately or use USE ALL. Disabling a pack removes only the verified file owned by the manager.
Browse 299 archived WotLK addons. A pinned, hash-verified archive downloads directly from GitHub and is cached locally.
Credentials, character settings, screenshots, cache and player-owned addons are never included in the client package.

HD PACK STATUS
WIP means the pack is still being checked model family by model family for missing textures, bad attachments, flicker and client crashes. It is optional, can change between launcher releases and is not a stability guarantee.
Sharper world and city surfaces. Launcher-managed and currently in the stable visual set.
Sunlight and lighting adjustments. Small, optional and currently in the stable visual set.
Creature families are being re-audited for unsafe models, textures and repeatable crash triggers.
Curated replacements remain under visual review for missing materials and attachment errors.
Character geometry and race coverage remain under inspection, including equipment alignment.
Armor and weapon upgrades are checked separately so model issues can be isolated and rolled back.
Interface textures and icon coverage are being checked for overlap, scaling and legacy-client compatibility.
Not enabled by default while black or missing skies are investigated zone by zone.
World objects are in an isolated test client and are not part of the production launcher yet.
Trees and foliage remain local-only until dense zones complete visual and stability inspection.
